Say Hello To The New Me!

You have no idea how happy I am to be posting this! My new blog is finally up! It still needs some adjustments but it is good enough for me start blogging again! Come on over and take a look @ the new name, logo, and page! Did I mention how happy I am?

WPPI Las Vegas

I don't know where to begin. I had the opportunity to attend WPPI ( Wedding & Portrait Photographers International ) this year @ the MGM! What an amazing time I had. I learned so much valuable information and met some pretty amazing people that share the same passion as me.
My first class was with the very talented Jasmine Star! This woman just blew me away. We waited for 2 hours to get into her class. They had to turn away 1000 people because we filled the room within minutes. I never felt so motivated or inspired in my life after her class! Did I mention how amazing she is? The next day we were walking the trade show when we saw her. We walked up to her asking for some pics but instead she asked us to walk with her and chat about her class! Holla! I couldn't believe it! To make a long story short, my trusty camera wasn't "working" *cough cough* so thankfully one of my fellow photog friends had her phone with her to get my pic. Kristen, you are the best!


Later that day we watchedBecker host a little class @ the trade show. I forgot to mention that he sat next to us in J*'s class the day before! Yeah, totally cool! He also took some pics of me that I will be posting as soon as they are ready. Can this day get any better?
Don't mind my double chin and goofy grin! I was laughing too hard for the pic.


Our last class of the evening was with the fabulous Brianna Graham! Once again, we waited for over 2 hours. This time they only let in 300 people but lucky for us, we were the first 5 in line! We got front row seats and my friend Kelsey won a back drop for being #1 in line! We had the opportunity to stay after class and chat with Brianna. Another amazing and talented photographer!


I can go on and on about my time there but I am getting over being sick. I don't know what happened but Tues. night when I got home, it hit me hard and fast. I was in bed all day yesterday and half of today. Hopefully I will be able to post more as I get better. Until then, this is all the energy I have for now. I cannot wait for WPPI 2011! This weeks challenge @ I Heart Faces is Hilarious Outtakes. You know this week is going to be filled with some great entries!

I have been teasing my husband for another baby so our youngest of 3 kids can have a playmate close in age. He isn't buying my pitch what so ever. I have exhausted all my reserves until I captured this gem. I was shooting Valentine's photos of our children which can be found here! My baby boy was done and gave me this look @ the end of the shoot. A lightbulb went off in my head and decided to send this outtake to my husband as a virtual card. =) Once again my plan failed but it was fun trying.

Meet the Fabulous Kelsey Anderson

So picture this. I just walked in the door and I got an email from Kelsey asking me to take her pictures for her new blog. Little did I know she wanted me to meet her in 1 hour from then. I almost had a heart attack. lol! I loaded the kids back into the car and off I went. Talk about pressure. Let me not mention I was looking top notch with no make-up and my hair a mess. I at least put my contacts on for her.

This might be my favorite pic from the morning! I don't recall what we were talking about but obviously it was funny! Wait a second, maybe she was laughing at the way I looked? Hmmmm......

Last week I decided to mess around with more lighting techniques. We took some silly shots and some serious shots. The last photo I took that day was the winner. I do believe I am going to order the b&w image on canvas.

I {heart} faces ~ Week 8 "Hands On" Fun

I found out yesterday that one of my favorite photographers is being a guest judge this week for I {heart} faces! I had to enter the challenge once I got the news. I feel like I am going to be sick knowing that the fabulous Becky Earl will be looking @ my picture. EEEK! Becky, if you are reading this, you are my hero!

Ok, I am now done with making a fool out of myself....
